CAT Cut Off
CAT does not have one universal admission cutoff applicable to every management institute.
Different IIMs and other institutes establish their own eligibility and selection criteria.
Qualifying Cutoff
IIMs may specify minimum sectional and overall percentile requirements for candidates to be considered for their admission process.
However, meeting the minimum percentile does not automatically result in a call or admission.
Admission Selection
IIM selection processes can consider several factors, including:
- CAT score/percentile
- Sectional performance
- Academic qualifications
- Academic diversity
- Work experience
- Category
- Written Ability Test, where applicable
- Personal Interview
- Other institute-specific parameters
Each IIM publishes its own admission policy.
Cutoff Factors
The effective percentile required for consideration can differ according to:

Candidates should therefore check the admission policy of each IIM rather than relying on a single CAT cutoff figure.
