CAT Application Form

The CAT application form is filled out online. Candidates need to create an account, enter personal and academic details, select preferred test cities and upload the required documents before submitting the application.

How to Apply for CAT 2026

Candidates can follow these general steps:

1. Visit the official CAT website.
2. Click on the CAT 2026 Registration link.
3. Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
4. Generate the user ID and password.
5. Login to the CAT application portal.
6. Enter personal information.
7. Enter academic qualification details.
8. Provide work-experience information, if applicable.
9. Select category and other applicable details.
10. Select preferred examination cities.
11. Upload the photograph and signature.
12. Select the IIM programmes/institutions as applicable.
13. Pay the application fee.
14. Submit the application.
15. Download and save the confirmation page.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate generally needs a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. For candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories, the minimum qualifying percentage is generally 45%.

Candidates appearing for the final year of their bachelor's degree or awaiting results may also be eligible, subject to the conditions specified in the CAT notification.

CAT Application Fee

The application fee is notified by the CAT conducting authority for each examination year. Candidates should check the CAT 2026 notification before making payment because the fee can be revised from previous years.
