NEET SS 2026 – National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Super Specialty)

NEET SS (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Super Specialty) is the national-level entrance examination for admission to DM, M.Ch. and DrNB Super Specialty courses in India. It is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). NBEMS describes NEET-SS as the single eligibility-cum-entrance examination for these Super Specialty courses, and states that separate state or institutional entrance examinations are not valid for the covered DM/M.Ch. admissions.

For NEET SS 2026, the currently announced tentative examination dates are 11 and 12 December 2026, while the cut-off date for completion of the prior entry qualification is 31 January 2027. NBEMS has not yet published the detailed 2026 Information Bulletin/application schedule in the latest notice-board information available as of 24 September 2026, so registration dates, application fee and some session-specific details should be treated as to be announced until the official bulletin is released.

NEET SS is conducted for doctors seeking admission to advanced Super Specialty medical programmes after completing the required postgraduate qualification. Depending on the feeder specialty and eligibility rules, candidates can compete for DM, M.Ch. and DrNB Super Specialty courses.

The examination is conducted by NBEMS, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
