Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Sambalpur was founded in August 1956 by the Odisha Government. Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Sambalpur was formerly known as University College of Engineering which was placed under the Sambalpur University in 1967 and under BPUT in 2002.
